Original Gas Vapour Probe Kit Overview

The Original Gas Vapour Probe (GVP) Kit is an ideal solution for shallow gas vapour sampling in soft, easily penetrable soils for preliminary testing.

To operate the GVP, begin by attaching the Cross Handle or an optional Slide Hammer to the GVP string using the Cross Handle/Slide Hammer Adapter. When driving the probe into the ground, insert the Liner Rod into the Base Section to prevent soil from entering the system. Both the Liner Rod and Base Section feature threaded Couplings, allowing for easy connection to an Extension with an additional Liner Rod.

Once the desired depth is reached, remove the Cross Handle or Slide Hammer Adapter and replace it with the Barbed Adapter to begin collecting your soil gas sample.
