The Waterra Oil-Water Interface Meter is designed for detecting and measuring layers of oil as well as water levels in wells. With sophisticated ultrasonic sensors sensitive to a wider range of hydrocarbon products than conventional optical systems, the Waterra Oil-Water Interface Meter is excellent for product layer measurement far below the surface.

The probe’s unique conductivity sensor is designed to prevent hydrocarbons from attaching too strongly, allowing it to quickly reach and sense water as soon as it penetrates the LNAPL layer. When in contact with oil, the interface meter triggers a light and buzzer, while a distinct tone and light indicate the presence of water. The measurements marked across the tape can then be used to determine the depth of the probe below the surface when the buzzer sounds, allowing the user to accurately measure oil and water levels.

To ensure optimal performance, the interface meter employs a PFAS-free polyethylene coated tape with a dog bone-shaped cross-section to prevent it from adhering to wet surfaces such as well casings. Waterra Oil-Water Interface Meters are both simple to use and efficient for measuring oil and water below the surface.

Features of the Waterra Oil-Water Interface Meter include:
