Introduced in 2023 to help nurture emerging leaders in the field of asbestos, the Air-Met Scientific Derek Miller Award is presented to an individual who has demonstrated exceptional contributions to the field of asbestos in recognition of their outstanding efforts and promising future in shaping asbestos management. The recipient of the award is granted the opportunity to participate in an international asbestos conference of their choosing, including BOHS FAAM, Asbestonomy, the European Asbestos Forum, and the ASTM Johnson / Rook Conference to help further their learning in the field.
