Scarlet Tech WR-3 Plus Wireless Anemometer Overview
Where traditional wired anemometers are limited by the height and length of the cables, Scarlet Tech’s WR-3 Plus is a wireless solution for precise wind monitoring. The WR-3 Plus is not only capable of monitoring wind speed but also temperature and atmospheric pressure.
The WR-3 Plus will raise an audible and visual alarm when a set windspeed threshold is surpassed. The sensor will then communicate this to connected displays within a range of 500m notifying workers across the site of potentially dangerous winds or conditions rapidly. A bright graphical display on the receiving device allows users to view both live and historical wind data for informed decision making.
With an IP-67 rating and rugged design, the Scarlet Tech WR-3 Plus is designed to withstand the harsh environments it is deployed in and is ideal for a range of industries from land-based construction to off-shore oil rigs. Data can be stored on the device for up to 1 year with the 64MB storage space and a long-lasting battery, combined with up to 3 years of sensor battery life this enables longer deployment periods. Data retrieval is easily imported into data management software such as Excel through a micro-USB port for future data analysis.
