The HexChecks Neutraliser is an easy-to-use non-toxic cleaning solution that is used to instantly neutralise the Hexavalent Chromium (Cr +6) ion, also called HexChrome.
Chromium-6 is a known carcinogen and is present in many industrial processes such as plating, blasting, and welding. By using the HexChecksTM Neutraliser, HexChrome can be eliminated from common work areas to protect the health and safety of workers. It can assist safety officers to understand key problem areas in a workstation and ensure the current chrome containment technologies are working.
How to Use the HexChecksTM Neutraliser :
- Add a Neutraliser Pack into a clean Spray Bottle (32 fl oz / 946 mL).
- Add water and mix thoroughly.
- Spray the HexChecksTM Neutraliser solution on the suspect area until wet, let stand for 10 seconds and then wipe.
- The HexChrome is instantly neutralised.
To verify that all HexChrome has been neutralised, use a HexChecksTM Testing Swab to re-test the surface. If the Testing Swab does not change colours, all HexChrome is neutralised.
