HexChecksTM Spot Checking Swab provides fast, efficient, and easy-to-use surface testing for Hexavalent Chromium ions also called Chrome (IV) on any surface.

 Hexavalent chromium is a toxic form of the metallic element Chromium. It is widely used in industries such as leather tanning, textile dying, refractory production etc. It is a known carcinogen and is considered by NIOSH as an occupational carcinogen.

 Officially tested and recommended by the U.S. Air Force, the HexChecksTM Testing Swabs provide instant field detection for the presence of Chromium-6 on any surface.  

How to use the HexChecksTM Testing Swabs:

  1. Activate the swab and swipe the suspect surface.
  2. When the Testing Swab comes in contact with HexChrome, the Testing Swab’s tip turns a pink/purple colour. The darker the colour, the higher the HexChrome concentration.

Please note - HexChecksTM Testing Swabs are a screening test It is not intended to be a quantitative test for hexavalent chromium. Please consult a certified laboratory to quantify a HexChecks™ Testing Swab result
