Hand Pumps to be Discontinued for the MX6 iBrid®, Ventis® MX4, and GasBadge® Pro
Air-Met Scientific would like to advise current and prospective customers that part numbers 18107078 (MX6 iBrid® hand pump), 18106500 (GasBadge® Pro hand pump), and 18108830 (Ventis® MX4 hand pump) will no longer be available once our supplier's current supply is depleted. This will also result in the product no longer being included in any instrument kits.
To assist our current and prospective customers we have provided some products below that you may wish to consider as viable alternatives:
MX6 iBrid® Alternative
As an alternative to the MX6 iBrid® hand pump (part number 18107078), the SP6 sampling pump by Industrial Scientific can be used. The SP6 is a parasitic pump that runs off the MX6 iBrid® battery and attaches in place of the diffusion cover.
An MX6 iBrid® fitted with a pump and an extended range battery will result in a significant run time of 20 hours. The SP6 is capable of drawing a sample using up to 100’ of 1/8” inside diameter tubing.
The SP6 sampling pump is available for immediate order via Air-Met Scientific.
Ventis® MX4 Alternative
As an alternative to the Ventis® MX4 hand pump (part number 18108830), the Ventis® Slide-on Pump, or the Ventis® Integral pump can be used.
The Ventis® Slide-on Pump can easily be attached or removed from any Ventis® MX4 or Ventis® Pro Series diffusion instrument. The Slide-on Pump has a latch door to easily place the instrument inside, runs off its own battery and has its own visual and audible alarms for easy assessment. The Slide-on Pump can be used to draw a sample up to 50’ when using 1/8” inside diameter tubing.
The Ventis® Integral Pump is attached to the instrument via 5 screws and uses an extended range battery to provide 12 hours of runtime. The Ventis integral pump is capable of drawing a sample using up to 100’ of 1/8’’inside diameter tubing.
The Ventis® Slide-on Pump and Ventis® Integral Pump is available for immediate order via Air-Met Scientific.
