Introducing the NEW Tiger XT Detector Range from Ion Science

.

For Rapid and Accurate Detection of VOCs, Benzene and TACs

Ion Science Tiger XT SeriesSince the release of the PhoCheck Tiger back in the 2000’s followed by the Tiger Select in 2011, Ion Science’s high performance photoionisation detectors (PIDs) have been trusted by industry professionals and used in a wide variety of industries, from construction sites to water governing bodies for the monitoring of VOCs, benzene and TACs.

Taking on customer feedback, the team at Ion Science have now released three new detectors in the NEW Tiger XT range which will be directly replacing the PhoCheck Tiger, Tiger Select and the Tiger LT. The new Tiger XT Series will be available in Australia from 22 November 2022 with is predecessors discontinued effective immediately.

The following products in the Ion Science Tiger range will be discontinued:

  • TIGERLT VOC Detector, standard & premium kit 10.6eV
  • TIGER Instruments & variants
  • TIGER 11.7eV Instruments & variants
  • TIGER Select Instrument & variants
  • TIGER Fire Investigation Kit & variants

The Tiger XT Gas Detector Series – Tiger XT, Tiger XTL and Tiger XTS

Three models will be released to replace the existing PhoCheck Tiger Range.

Ion Science’s primary detector is the Tiger XT VOC Gas Detector which will be directly replacing the PhoCheck Tiger VOC Meter. Featuring Ion Science’s patented Fence Electrode Technology, the Tiger XT has been independently verified as the most advanced handheld VOC detector on the market designed for the rapid and accurate detection of VOCs down to 1 part per billion (ppb) up to 20,000 parts per million (ppm).

The Tiger XTL will be replacing the Tiger LT, its low-cost VOC detector option with reliable market leading accuracy. Although cost-efficient, the Tiger XTL still features Ion Science’s patented PID sensor technology with resistance, anti-contamination design, rugged design and more.

The Tiger XTL is IECEx certified and is ideal for field work including environmental monitoring, soil contamination VOC monitoring in landfills and more.

The third model in the Tiger XT Series is the Tiger XT Select Portable Benzene Gas Detector. Utilising the high output of the Ion Science 10. eV lamp, the Tiger XTS supersedes the Tiger Select Gas Detector and is capable of detecting benzene, toluene and acetone.

Revolutionary Handheld VOC Meters with Improved Robust Designs

The new Tiger XT Series has been updated to feature more robust design, enclosure, and user experience. Improvements include:

  • Improved front window LCD design, overmoulded with TPE to reduce potential for display damage
  • Thermo plastic elastomer outer moulding making the Tiger XT Series more robust in the field
  • Brass inserts for screw cavity – prevents cross threading and damage to moulding
  • USB connecter ports are now protected from ingress
  • Tiger XT features a push to release button for quick, easy and secure battery connection.

For current owners of the Tiger instrument range, all Tiger instruments will continue to be supported with warranty replacement parts for the duration of the warranty period, subject to parts availability.
