Air-Met Scientific will continue to provide further updates should there be any changes. If you have any further questions on our response to this evolving situation, please see our FAQs below or contact your local Air-Met Scientific office. Thank you for your understanding, support and for working together with us in this important health issue and take care.

Since COVID-19 emerged, the team at Air-Met have implemented the following:

  • Increased workspace and office hygiene protocols to ensure the office is sanitised regularly paying particular attention to any areas of high traffic and contact such as reception counters, service workstations etc.
  • Split shifts (Selected Offices). By splitting our teams into two, we mitigate the risk of spread as well as closure which will cause a disruption to your operations. There is also a buffer in between the two shifts so that there is absolutely no contact between teams.
  • Encouraged the use of virtual communication channels for all team and customer meetings and restricted all non-essential work-related travel
  • Temperature screening. All employee and visitors will be required to undergo temperature screening when visiting any Air-Met office.
  • Limiting personnel in all offices and warehouses to only essential employees. All staff that can work from home have been transitioned.
  • Ensuring social distancing and best-practise hygiene are being practised by all employees who continue to serve our customers
  • Ensuring our team members have and are implementing the most up-to-date hygiene information in line with guidance issued by the Department of Health and WHO.
  • Implementing the advised 14-day isolation measures for employees who have travelled or been in contact with confirmed or potential cases
  • Face masks should be worn if required by health authorities by team members and visitors, sign in for contact tracing and use hand sanitiser upon entry.

It’s business as usual at all Air-Met offices. All offices are operating with varied opening hours and/or split shifts in line with health advice for each state.

Please see the below for each office's hours of operation or contact your local Air-Met office for more information.

In addition to our standard cleaning service, all serviced equipment will undergo additional sanitisation measures prior to the equipment being returned to the customer.

Rest assured that additional precautionary measures will also be undertaken if your equipment is being serviced on-site. All Air-Met mobile service vans will be equipped with additional cleaning tools, gloves, hand sanitisers, antibacterial wipes and masks. Our teams will:

  • Follow the latest government safety guidelines and advice
  • Adhere to site specific safety requirements
  • Practise good hygiene by using hand sanitiser prior to entering a site, wearing gloves whilst on site and masks if required
  • Ensure the equipment and workspace is thoroughly cleaned and disinfected prior to leaving a work site

For added protection to the health and safety of our customers and our teams, all service equipment pick up and drop offs at our VIC office will now be contactless.

Air-Met is also closely monitoring the health and wellbeing of our employees to ensure they take leave should they experience any cold or flu symptoms.

We have always had strict cleaning practices and standards in place for all our rental equipment so you can rest assure that all rental equipment is thoroughly cleaned and decontaminated upon return to our offices before it is dispatched again for use. This includes all parts and cases paying particular attention to any surfaces with high contact rate such as switches, handles etc.

For added protection to the health and safety of our customers and our teams, all rental equipment pick up and drop offs at our VIC office will now be contactless.

All Air-Met representatives are still reachable via phone and emails to assist you with all your monitoring enquiries and provide the same high level of customer support you are used to. If preferred, we also actively encourage the use of any virtual communication channel such as Teams, Skype or Zoom to conduct business meetings. If a business-critical face-to-face meeting is absolutely required, these are to be firstly validated with your main Air-Met contact.

Air-Met Scientific have a large stock holding of our core items and our fulfilment team have invested in an additional $500K worth of stock on top of our normal inventory to ensure stock availability and to avoid any potential supply issues.

Additionally, Air-Met is working proactively with our suppliers and delivery partners to ensure uninterrupted deliveries and ongoing supplies.

Additional to practising social distancing and practising good personal hygiene, please ensure that all equipment requiring service or being returned to our rental departments is thoroughly cleaned and sanitised prior to sending them into your local Air-Met office. This include all parts and cases. If unsure, please contact your local service department on 1800 000 744.

Furthermore, if you have been diagnosed with COVID-19 and have been in contact with an Air-Met employee or equipment in which we have serviced, please advise us as soon as possible so that we can act accordingly to keep all our employees and the community safe.
