The Oldham iTrans2 infrared gas detector employs an intelligent electronics platform to provide one or two points of detection from a single head for maximum flexibility, superior performance and lower installation costs. With the optional HART Communication Protocol, the Oldham iTrans2 offers remote diagnostics, set-up or calibration by superimposing a high-frequency current across the industry standard 4-20mA analogue line.

The iTrans2 Offers Automatic Sensor Recognition, Access Code Security, and Zero and Cal Fault Protection
 
with the ability to detect any combination of gases for a specific environment, the Oldham iTrans2 utilises Oldham's industry-proven “smart” infrared gas sensor technology and safety features including automatic sensor recognition, access code security, and zero and cal fault protection – all enclosed within an explosion-proof aluminum or stainless steel housing. The microprocessor-controlled transmitters are capable of independent operation or multi-point system configuration. The infrared sensor provides explosive gas detection (methane, butane, propane, ethylene, hexane, etc.) in more severe environmental conditions, where the presence of poisons could harm the use of a catalytic cell.
 
Additional to the LEL sensor range, the Oldham iTrans2 fixed gas detector can also be configured with a 0-100% volume methane infrared sensor for bio-gas applications and CO2 infrared sensors ranging from 0.5% volume to 100% volume.
 
Stand-Alone Operation(*)
 
With optional on-board relays, this fixed gas detector has the added ability of stand-alone operation, activating alarms, horns, or fans and can also shut down a system without the need to wire back to a central control panel.

Dual Gas Sensing
The iTrans2 can detect and display up to two gases on certain models. Both gas sensors may be mounted directly to the transmitter, or may be mounted remotely.
Wide Sensor Offering
The iTrans2 supports Electrochemical, Catalytic Bead and Infrared sensors. The iTrans2 is available for most common industrial gases, allowing of standardisation for your gas detection equipment.
Smart Sensors
Smart sensors come factory pre-calibrated and automatically send sensor information, such as sensor life, to the transmitter. A sensor life indicator is displayed immediately after each calibration.

Non-Intrusive Calibration
The iTrans's non-intrusive interface keys operate with a simple magnetic wand and allow for full transmitter configuration and calibration without opening the unit’s explosion-proof housing.
Programmable Relays
The microprocessor-controlled transmitters are capable of independent operation or multi-point system configuration. With optional on-board relays, the monitor has the added ability of stand-alone operation, activating alarms, horns or fans, and can also shut down a system without the need to wire back to a central control panel.
Multiple Wiring Options
The iTrans2 can be configured to meet almost any installation application. Common configurations include:
  • 3-Wire (4-20mA) Models - Allow for full utilisation of the 's features and options and can be used with all of the iTrans2's sensors.
  • 4-Wire (Digital ModBus) Models - Allow for full utilisation of the 's features and options and can be used with all of the iTrans2's sensors.
HART™ Communication Protocol
With the optional HART Communication Protocol, the iTrans2 offers remote diagnostics, set-up or calibration by superimposing a high-frequency current across the industry standard 4-20mA analogue line.
Stainless Steel Enclosure
