Workplace Vibration Monitoring Vibration Meters

Workplace vibrations are categorised into two categories, whole-body vibration (WBV) and hand-arm vibration (HAV). Workers exposed to high vibration levels as a result of using hand-held power tools or as a result of operating machinery or vehicles can result in a range of serious health problems from back pain, damage to nerves, aggravation to existing injuries and more.

Safe Work Australia provides a range of guidance materials for the measuring and risk management of exposure to WBV and HAV in the workplace.

Hand-arm vibration and whole-body vibration monitoring equipment

Available for sale and/or rental, Air-Met Scientific offers a range of vibration meters dedicated to the measurement and monitoring of hand-arm vibration and whole-body vibration in workplaces such as construction sites, mines, manufacturing plants and more.

Our product range includes:

  • SV 106 Human Vibration Meter and Analyser: While this pocket-sized device might be compact, it is loaded with features and can be used to assess a range of vibrations including tools that require both hands to operate as well as the seats of vehicles and machinery. Adheres to all industry standards and is compatible with the Svantek specialist health and safety software.
  • SV 103 Vibration Dosimeter: The SV 103 is the world's first personal hand-arm vibration exposure meter dedicated to the measurement of vibrations from power tools and other handheld tools on the hand-arm.
