The PetroPRO gas chromatograph can analyze benzene in less than 30 seconds or benzene, toluene, ethylbenzene and m-xylene (BTEX) in two minutes down to low parts per billion (PPB) levels.

The PetroPRO utilizes photoionization, a field proven technology in five previous generations of Photovac portable GCs. The extremely linear photoionization detector reports sample concentrations from low PPB up to hundreds of parts per million (PPM). The PetroPRO is designed for high-speed analysis of BTEX, but can be modified for analysis of a wide range of VOCs. It incorporates proprietary valve technology to increase the resolution of GC peaks and speed of analysis.

A truly portable instrument, the PetroPRO weighs less than 15 lbs and is easy to carry with a shoulder strap. The PetroPRO has an internal carrier gas cylinder and battery pack so the instrument can be used in the field without support gas or external power source. All results are stored in the PetroPRO’s memory for a permanent data archive of the day’s results. Data can be later downloaded to a PC, therefore no laptop is required in the field. The PetroPRO is certified as Intrinsically Safe for use in hazardous locations in North America and Europe.
